Kaushalya Bannerji (born Calcutta〔(Library of Congress Name Authority File )〕) is a Canadian poet. A resident of Toronto since 1993, Kaushalya Bannerji is the daughter of the respected activist and intellectual Himani Bannerji.〔http://www.encyclo.co.uk/define/Kaushalya%20Bannerji〕 In her article: A Lotus of Another Color, she delved with the cultural complexities sexuality adds to one's sense of self, and identity especially coming from a social conservative society.
